Martinsville Porch & Yard Pride Contest Announced

The Martinsville Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents and businesses to help celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence by participating in a community-wide Porch & Yard Pride Contest.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to decorate their porches, yards, homes, or outdoor spaces in patriotic and Independence Day themes as part of the community celebration leading up to the July 2 festivities at Linn Park.

Participants may submit a photo of their decorations using the official contest entry form. Entries must be submitted by Friday, June 26, 2026.

The first-place entry will receive a commemorative American flag, and all participants will receive a commemorative challenge coin recognizing their participation in the community celebration.

Contest winners will be announced during Martinsville’s Independence celebration on Thursday, July 2 at Linn Park.

Community members are encouraged to begin decorating and help make Martinsville part of the celebration through displays of hometown pride, patriotism, and community spirit.

Entries must be submitted by Friday, June 26, 2026 to be eligible for the Porch & Yard Pride Contest.
