DESCRIPTION:Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of live music at Linn Park Amphitheater with Creole Stomp! \nThis week’s Linn Park Gathering in Martinsville will feature Creole Stomp\, led by Creole fiddler and accordionist\, Dennis Stroughmatt. Creole Stomp has performed for audiences across North American since 2002. \nTheir shows have become legendary for the heart and passion conveyed from the stage; their music\, filled with emotion and energy\, literally jumps from the band. Creole Stomp is often informally known as “The Grateful Dead of Creole Music.” They will perform a variety of contemporary blues\, swamp pop and traditional Cajun tunes. It has been said that their expert musicianship is matched by their showmanship and enthusiasm for the culture and tradition they represent. \nThis high energy evening is one you won’t want to miss. The Creole Stomp concert will appeal to all ages and is sure to be one of your favorite Gatherings of the year. Bring your lawn chair to Linn Park (1 block East of downtown Martinsville on Saturday\, June 17 and enjoy the FREE Creole Stomp concert\, starting at 7:00 p.m. Food will be available for purchase\, starting at 6:00 p.m. \nCreole Stomp\nThe concessions stand will be open beginning at 6pm.
