Founded in 1833, Martinsville is located in rich, agricultural Clark County. Nestled along the Old National Road (today Rt 40), Martinsville is primarily a farming community, but we also have small manufacturing plants, among other growing businesses. Located right along I-70, Martinsville gives central access to travel between Indianapolis and St. Louis, making it an ideal location for new businesses.
The Illinois Office of Tourism (IOT) and the Land of Lincoln Regional Tourism Office recognized The Moonshine Store, located in Martinsville, Illinois, as a recipient of the “Enjoy Illinois: Delicious Destination” award. Pictured are Heather Wilkins, from the Land of Lincoln Regional Tourism Office, and Phil Reeds, Mayor of Martinsville, presenting the award to Helen, the proprietor of The Moonshine Store – right side. The award recognizes local food establishments around the state that are authentically Illinois and beloved destinations for visitors and locals alike. Congratulations to The Moonshine Store!
